A very attractive small to medium sized tree that develops a broad, uniformed conical outline with a superior branch structure. Suitable for many landscapes, including small to medium gardens.
An excellent, strong growing, all-round tree. Warm temperate to cold areas. Requires little if any pruning. An excellent alternative to the Manchurian Pear.
After purchasing these beauties in a juvenile state from award-winning Fleming’s Nurseries in Melbourne, they have been grown and nurtured at Winwood Advanced Tree nursery in Gordon, Victoria.

FOLIAGE
Leaves are lustrous, dark green and differ to those of other ornamental pears in having a wavy edge. Masses of white flowers borne in clusters in spring. Autumn colour ranges from yellows to reds.
CULTURE
Adaptable to a wide range of conditions including wet, heavy soil types. The only pruning required during winter is to remove broken branches or to shape the tree. Tolerates excessive moisture. Adaptable to low levels of drought. Water often until established. Requires a deep soaking when dry. Mulch is beneficial.
FLOWERS
Masses of white flowers borne in clusters in spring.
FRUIT
Does produce edible fruit, although the pears are the size of peas and not usually collected.
SIZE
The Aristocrat Ornamental Pear grows to 11m x 7m in size.
