The Autumn Blaze ‘Jeffersred’ Maple features some of the best autumn colour of the hybrid red maples.
A medium to large shade tree commonly used for car parks, amenity areas, medium to large properties and for street, avenue or park plantings.
This stunning maple is now widely planted in Australia, where it combines the best attributes of its parents, a selection from a cross between Acer Rubrum and Acer Saccharinum.
After purchasing these beauties in a juvenile state from award-winning Fleming’s Nurseries in Melbourne, they have been grown and nurtured at Winwood Advanced Tree nursery in Gordon, Victoria.

FOLIAGE
Deeply lobed, rich green leaves, changing to intense red in early Autumn.
CULTURE
Prefers full sun for best growth and colour development. Tolerates a wide range of soil and climatic conditions including relatively wet sites and moderate air pollution, as well as low levels of drought.
FLOWERS
Insignificant. Small red flowers. Female.
FRUIT
Virtually seedless in Australian conditions. Green winged samara if produced.
SIZE
The ‘Jeffersred’ Maple grows to 13m x 10m in size.
