After purchasing these beauties in a juvenile state from award-winning Fleming’s Nurseries in Melbourne, they have been grown and nurtured at Winwood Advanced Tree nursery in Gordon, Victoria.

FOLIAGE
Large, mid-green leaves with three to five coarsely serrated lobes. Golden-yellow to golden-bronze in autumn.
CULTURE
Tolerant to a wide range of urban conditions, differing soils and heavy atmospheric pollution. Responds well to pruning. Best in moist, well-drained, fertile soil in full sun to light shade. Hairs on the fruits and leaves may be irritating to the nose, eyes and throat for some people. Can be prone to powdery mildew and anthracnose. Bark, leaf and fruit litter may be a problem in some urban sites.
FLOWERS
Inconspicuous. Male and female flowers are separate on the same plant (monoecious).
FRUIT
Pendulous, bristly balls to 25mm wide are produced in groups of two or three.
SIZE
The London Plane grows to 14m x 10m in size.
